Aloha, Tiffany, and welcome to planDisney!
I’m still dreaming about my
‘Ohana breakfast from earlier this year, but I hear that the dinner there is what dreams are really made of. It can be frustrating not to get the advance dining reservation that your heart desires, so I’m happy to share some tips with you.
My go-to way to get hard-to-get dining reservations is to check the
My Disney Experience app as much as possible. The odds of you getting a reservation now that we’re within the 60-day window are low; however, it is very possible to see a dining reservation populate when you least expect it.
What’s the best time to check after the first day of the window has passed? The day before or the day of your desired dinnertime! I know, if you’re a super planner like we are at planDisney, this could be stressful. However, because of the 2-hour cancellation policy, this is the prime time to grab a spot from other Guests who let their reservations go.
Here’s another tip, Tiffany: Make an advance dining reservation for a time that is near your ideal meal time. It is much easier to modify an existing reservation than to start from scratch each time you search. After booking ‘Ohana for another time that day, go to the My Disney Experience app, and “Modify” your existing reservation. Keep refreshing (when you have some down time), and you may be surprised to find that the exact time that you want becomes available.
AN EXTRA GEM: For your next vacation, log in to book your advance dining reservation about 10-15 minutes before the time the reservations open 60 days out. Also, if you stay on Walt Disney World Resort property, you can book up to 60 days before your first day of your vacation plus 10 days. This is a fantastic way to get ahead of others in “line” when booking your table.
I’m sending you tons of pixie dust, Tiffany! Just keep some of these tips in mind, and perhaps you’ll feast on that Signature ‘Ohana Bread and ‘Ohana Noodles in no time. If you have any other questions,
please revisit us here at planDisney.
Magic always,
LeAndra
