Hey there, Michael!
Thanks for visiting planDisney!
Let me start with a big "way to go!" for working on your theme park reservations to visit Walt Disney World Resort after purchasing your theme park tickets. I think making the required theme park reservations is a planning step that Guests are still getting familiar with, and I think you're managing your planning well by working to make the reservations.
Tech geek that I am, I generally take delight in knowing exactly how to sleuth out a solution to a troublesome tech issue. In some cases, though, even I find myself stumped and find myself calling the experts for advice. I can't quite tell if the issue you're seeing is with the Family and Friends feature or the Disney Park Pass system. My suggestion is to seek the wisdom of the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk by giving them a call at (407) 939-4357. The talented and friendly Cast Member techies can walk through the issue with you.
Let me offer a quick tip on how the process should be working for you in hopes that maybe this helps. The
Disney Park Pass system that guides you to make your required theme park reservations is using the
Family & Friends features. When you view your
My Family & Friends List, you should be able to see everyone in your party. If you don't see someone with whom you'll be making and sharing plans, you can use the Add a Guest feature to add that person to your list.
You have a few ways to add a Guest to your your My Family & Friends List, including finding through connected Guests or retrieving Guest information through travel confirmation number. One additional way to add a Guest is to invite that Guest to connect by sending an email invitation. To get to the step where you enter the Guest's email address, you first need to enter their age as 18+. You can then enter the email address and choose to invite the Guest to connect. Once that Guest receives and accepts the email invitation, they will be a part of your My Family & Friends List. Now, when you go the Disney Park Pass system to make a theme park reservation, that Guest (and anyone for whom they are managing plans directly) should display as someone you can add to your party.
In my own experience, I've had situations where I need to send the email invitation to connect more than once.
Michael, I am hoping that perhaps this quick overview helps you get your My Family & Friends List all set up so you can make all your theme park reservations. If not, the Walt Disney World Internet Help Desk is available at (407) 939-4357.
Here's wishing you a fun and wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. As you're making your plans to enjoy all the magic, ask us at planDisney for our suggestions. We're always looking forward to sharing our vacation experiences as a way to help you plan.
