I need help moms I am looking for a way to afford to take my kids ages 6 and 3 to Disney without breaking the bank. I have family coming in and all of them can easily afford it, however they aren’t big on helping others I really want my kids to go.

Hello Misty, and thank you for bringing me your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon. I have a few tips for you that can help you save some money on your upcoming trip.

My biggest tip for you is regarding your admission tickets. I would recommend that you purchase your multi-day tickets without a Park Hopper option. This will save you quite a bit of money per ticket and allow you to enjoy one park all day long. You can leave a park if you need to, and return to the same park later in the day. If one of your family members is purchasing a Memory Maker, they can include your photos too. As long as you are connected to their “My Family and Friends List” and you give your permission to share your PhotoPass Photos with them. They can download and share all of your photos with you as a part of their unlimited downloads.

You can also save money on your meals by packing snacks or sandwiches and carrying your own water into the parks. I always carry my own refillable water bottle in the side mesh pocket of my backpack. I will fill it up at a drinking fountain in the park whenever I need to. Your children can share meals at quick service restaurants too. You can find a list of items that you cannot bring into the parks here.

I love shopping but there are times when I see a must-have item that I cannot afford to purchase at that time. I recommend using the Shop Disney Parks App for that. You can scan the price tag of an item and add it to your cart to purchase later. When I return home I place my order. There are a few items that can only be purchased at the Walt Disney World Resort so if you have questions about an item, ask a Cast Member. Good luck with your planning!

    See ya real soon,
