Need Help with Itinerary: December 8th 1st day: MK or AK; 2nd HS or EP; 3rd MK or AK; 4th HS or EP; 5th EP or MK ; 6th MK or AK, Taking 2 Toddlers (3 & 2) , staying off resort, want to do character dining and MVMCP. Please help. Park Hopper Suggested

    Hi, Shawn!

I use is touringplans.com, a great, unofficial crowd-predicting site to determine which parks we'll visit, going with the least-crowded. According to touringplans, I'd stick to the following:

    12/8-Magic Kingdom
    12/9-Epcot
    12/10-Animal Kingdom
    12/11-Epcot
    12/12-Disney's Hollywood Studios
    12/13-Magic Kingdom

These are all "Best Park" or "Neutral Park," so you'll be able to enjoy smaller crowds. This is a great time to visit, too, as the average crowd levels will be quite low.

You can maintain this schedule without adding the Park Hopper option, especially because heading to an off-property resort for a nap may be too time-consuming. Yet, if you feel you'd like to break up your days by spending a morning in one park then enjoy a nice dinner and evening entertainment in another, Park Hoppers will enable this.

For Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (which you'll love; it snows on Main Street, U.S.A.!) you won't need to use a regular park ticket in order to get in; your special event ticket will be all you'll need that night. As such, if you spend the morning in Animal Kingdom, you can use your MVMCP ticket to enter Magic Kingdom for the party that night, without needing a Park Hopper Option.

Character Dining? Don't miss The Crystal Palace (MK; Pooh and Pals), Chef Mickey's (Disney's Contemporary Resort; The Mouse Himself, and Friends), Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Princesses), Hollywood & Vine (HS; breakfast only features Disney Junior Friends), 'Ohana (Disney's Polynesian Resort; breakfast only features Lilo & Stitch), Tusker House (AK; breakfast and lunch feature Donald and friends.)

Send more questions as you think of them, Shawn; we love to help!
