Hi Marco,
Welcome to planDisney! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian.
Although we had a blast on our last trip to the Walt Disney World resort, things are a bit different now, so I am glad to see you planning ahead! First things first, you will need to make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. Even if you have theme park tickets, you will still need a park pass reservation to enter the theme parks. We also ordered our
masks from shopDisney prior to arrival and brought lots of hand sanitizer with us. If you forget to bring your own hand sanitizer, don't worry, there is plenty in the parks and resorts.
We also had to plan carefully for dining on our last visit since there were capacity limitations in place. I suggest that you make several
advanced dining reservations and be prepared to use
Mobile Food & Beverage Service. Whatever you do, make those dining plans. Since we were staying at one of the resort hotels in the
Disney Resorts Collection, we used
Resort Transportation each day of our visit. The capacity limits could impact how long you have to wait for resort transportation, so just leave plenty of travel time between the resort hotel and theme parks. We were fortunate. On our last visit, transportation worked well and we never had to wait long.
If you are booking a
vacation package with theme park tickets, you will need to use
Online Check-in when it's time to check-in to your resort hotel room. Also make sure that you have downloaded the
My Disney Experience Mobile App so that you can view and modify your plans. And, finally, as you might suspect, procedures may change periodically, so keep your eye on the
operational updates as you plan your visit.
Marco, even with the restrictions, we had so much fun. We saw all of our favorite characters, rode our favorite attractions, and ate all of our favorite snacks. So, assemble your superhero crew and get ready for an
Incredible Disney visit!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
