Hello Lauren,
It's great to see you're planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! The planDisney panelists always welcome the opportunity to offer suggestions to help you make your vacation more magical by sharing tips from our own vacation experiences.
If you'd like to take more of a "book it yourself" approach to planning and booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, I think you'll find the online booking tools an easy and helpful way to put your vacation package together. You can use the
"Get Started" button and you'll be guided through the steps to select your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and select your theme park tickets. If you'd prefer to book a room-only reservation without theme park tickets, you can opt not to add theme park tickets.
Before you book your Resort hotel stay, you can get familiar with the
Disney Resorts Collection to see all the features you can enjoy when you stay in the magic. The Disney Resorts Collection includes
wonderful and unique choices to enjoy your vacation stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. I think you'll find there are choices to meet just about any vacation vibe you're looking for, and of course the Resorts offer that Disney magic to create vacation moments you'll cherish.
When you're selecting your Resort hotel, it can be helpful to get an idea of where the Resort hotel is located. You can use the easy interactive map to
explore Resort hotels and see their location as well as their category. If you're looking for a particular feature in a Resort hotel such as Disney Story Rooms, or proximity to the
Walt Disney World Monorail or
Disney Skyliner, you can search for those Resort characteristics as well.
While there isn't an option to add air travel to a vacation package, you'll see there is an option to add a car rental in the Ground Transportation options you can select before you complete the booking.
If you have questions or need additional assistance as you are making your vacation package booking, you can reach out to the Walt Disney World Resort at (407)-934-7639 and speak with a Cast Member for assistance.
It's helpful to look at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar before booking your vacation, so that you know which theme parks have reservations available to select for the days you might want to visit. You can then make your theme park reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system.
Lauren, another option to consider is to work with a travel agent who can offer more full-service booking assistance. If this sounds like an approach you'd prefer, you can do a web search for the phrase "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner" and work with a travel agent who specializes in booking Disney destination vacations.
Here's wishing you a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
Jerry
