Hi Susan!
I have answered a similar question not long ago. Traveling from resort to resort is difficult to figure out when vacationing at Walt Disney World. Then add to that learning how to get around a large resort such as
Fort Wilderness and it can make a guest really confused as to the best route.
You have several options for transportation. One is certainly hopping on the Magic Kingdom bus from the Animal Kingdom park and then catching the Fort Wilderness boat which drops one off near Pioneer Hall. Your next option is to take the Fort Wilderness bus from Animal Kingdom and then hop on the internal bus which drops you off at Pioneer Hall. Your third option is to take a taxi or Uber from the park but they are not allowed back inside the resort so you would take the internal bus. Your final choice is to take advantage of the new
Minnie Van service which would cost you $20 from door to door. They are allowed to drop off guests at Pioneer Hall.
So looking at all of the choices your fastest mode is the Minnie Vans. Your next quickest is to head directly to Fort Wilderness by bus or taxi/Uber. When figuring out the time you always have to add the possible wait time for a bus. I would give yourself no less then an hour to reach Pioneer Hall. It likely would be less but you don’t want to be late.
If you wish to go to the Magic Kingdom and catch the bus and then the boat this would take longer and to be safe give yourself an hour and a half transportation time. Again likely it would be less but better safe then sorry.
I hope this can help you with your timing plans. We will always suggest you give more time for transportation due to traffic and other issues.
