Hiya, Gezette!
You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney. It sounds like you're ready to plan all the details for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation coming up in June –– now the fun really begins! Since there are several different types of reservations that you might need for your trip, I'm happy to share some details about each one to help you get started. Let's take a look!
If you're planning to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel during your visit, I recommend you start by making a hotel reservation. You can make
reservations on the Walt Disney World website by clicking on "Places to Stay" at the top of the page. After selecting your dates and the number of Guests in your traveling party, you'll be able to search for available Resorts and you'll have the option to book your hotel reservation as part of a room and ticket package if that works best for you. You can also make your Resort reservation over the phone by calling (407) 939-5277 to speak with a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to help with your booking.
To visit a Walt Disney World theme park, you'll also need to make theme park reservation using the
Disney Park Pass system. In addition to valid admission, Guests 3 and older must have a reservation for that same day to enter the park. If you plan to use the
Park Hopper option during your stay, you'll only need to make a reservation for the first park you visit each day –– you'll be able to hop to a different park beginning at 2 PM without a reservation. You can check availability and make Disney Park Pass reservations online by hovering over the "My Disney Experience" tab on the Walt Disney World website and selecting "Disney Park Pass System" from the drop-down menu. You can also make and modify your theme park reservations by using the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Don't worry, I saved the best type of reservation for last –– that's right, I'm talking about dining reservations! There are
so many exciting places to eat at Walt Disney World Resort, like the all-new
Space 220 Restaurant and
Steakhouse 71, but tables fill up fast, so reservations are
highly recommended. Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can
make advance dining reservations online beginning 60 days before check-in for the length of their stay, up to 10 days (Guests who aren't staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can also make reservations at the 60-day mark, but they won't have the benefit of booking those extra days). My favorite way to book dining reservations is by using the My Disney Experience app –– after signing in, simply tap the "+" button and select "Check Dining Availability" from the menu. Then, you'll just need to follow the on-screen prompts to find an available table. Believe me, your stomach will thank you!
I hope this helps as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation, Gezette. If you think of more questions, please feel free to stop by planDisney again –– we're always here to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
