I need help deciding on transportation. There will be 7 of us, 3 adults 4 kids, with own car.Staying at DD area resort, 12/22-12/26. Going to 1 park per day from open to close and Chef Mickey's for D 1 night. Due to crowds which is best, car or hotel bus?

Hi Nina.   If you have a car, without a doubt I would recommend consider using this to drive daily to the parks.    This will provide you and your family with the most flexibility possible.    With using your own car, you avoid having to wait for buses and can choose to come and leave at your desire.    Trams to your car in the parking area run more frequently and won't be much of an issue.   Plus, given the holiday season that you are traveling during, lines and waits for buses may be longer than normal.

As for traveling times, unless you are at a Disney Resort adjacent to a park, car transportation will always be quicker.   I live in Florida so I am thankful for always having a car available when visiting Disney .   Having used both, I can personally vouch for how much time you will save.   Enjoy your upcoming vacation!
