Hi, Need help deciding where to stay! I 'm a sngl mom with a 6 yr boy. I have a back and knee injury so some of the resorts may have too much walking for me. Seems like POFQ is the smallest, but does not seem so exciting for my son- suggestions please

    Hi Michelle!

Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter is a wonderful hotel option for families not only due to the more condensed size of the resort, but also because it is SO kid friendly! My daughter absolutely loves the Doubloon Lagoon swimming pool complex with the super cool sea serpent water slide! She also thinks the free boat transportation to both Downtown Disney and the neighboring Port Orleans Riverside Resort is an extra special way to travel. I have many happy memories of her snuggling close to me in the evenings as we enjoyed our trip down the bayou on the Sassagoula River.

Since you've mentioned that you may have some mobility concerns during your stay, you'll want to request a first floor room nearer to ground transportation and the food court on your resort reservation. Simply provide this information to the friendly cast member during your booking. You may also wish to double-check your room assignment upon check-in, noting that you have medical reasons impacting your guest room location.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel! Please feel free to send more questions my way prior to your trip!
