Need help deciding between the Art of Animation or Pop Century Resort. Any advice would be appreciated. I was hoping to get away from the hussle and bustle of disney, but i figured these would be fun for my 7 year old. Suggestions?

    Hi Noreen,

Disney's Pop Century Resort hotel and Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel are my favorite two Value Resorts!  It's hard to choose between them, but after discussing it with my own kiddos they have voted for Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel as their top choice.

My kids chose Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel because it has two big features that the other Value category rooms do not.  First, the rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort hotel are amazingly detailed.  As my daughter put it, "It feels like you are in the movie!"  Whether you choose a Family Suite or a standard room, the details are what make them special.  Not only are the rooms themed but the common areas and courtyards carry through with the amazing storybook feel.  My family stayed at Art of Animation last year and we made a point to walk through the entire Resort to see the courtyards and immersive themes.

The second reason my kids love Disney's Art of Animation Resort is because of "The Big Blue" Nemo themed pool.  This pool is simply amazing.  It is the largest pool at the Disney Resort and features underwater speakers with fun music that can be heard underwater.  My kids loved that the pool water was saltwater and didn't burn their eyes.  The whole family loved watching the poolside movies as we splashed and played by the pool.  It was hard to get us out of the pool to be honest!

I hope this helps you with your own plans Noreen.  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, we are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
