Need help choosing a resort for both my children since there ages are far apart. Son will be 3 1/2 and daughter will be 10 1/2. Value,Mod,Deluxe are open. Pool is a VERY big deal in deciding, followed by food court, then location to parks. Thank you!

    Hi Crystal -

My favorite pool at all of Walt Disney World is Stormalong Bay, which is shared by Disney's Beach and Yacht Clubs. Stormalong Bay has a huge water slide as well as sand-bottomed lagoon. My family prefers staying at the Beach Club, because the theme is a little more kid-friendly. You can walk to Epcot's World Showcase in about 5 minutes from the Beach Club, and take a boat to Disney's Hollywood Studios (the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are accessible via bus). However, there's isn't a food court at the Beach Club. Instead, there's a very small quick service area co-located with the gift shop.

If you are looking for a true food court, Disney's Art of Animation is home to our second favorite pool - the Finding Nemo-themed Big Blue Pool. The Big Blue Pool features an underwater sound system that my kids really love. The resort also offers a large food court, but you'll need to take a bus to all four parks.

    Have a great vacation!
