    I need help choosing the best moderate resort, coming October 2014. It will be myself, my 3 year old son, and my 10 year old daughter. The best pool for both of them is most important, followed by resort children's activities. Thank you!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Crystal ~

    My family and I love the Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR). This resort offers 7 pools. Each village has its own quieter pool but my family loved the main pool with the waterslides.  You can also relax in the spa pool in this area.  Your 3 year old will love the shipwreck water play area located next to the main pool. The main pool is near the food court and the Banana Cabana Pool Bar. Its a fun festive atmosphere.

    For my family, we loved taking a break from the parks and enjoying some of the recreational activities that CBR offered like:
    * Bike Rentals - we loved taking a Surrey Bike around Barefoot Bay
    * Boats rentals - they have a variety from motorized boats to sailboats to canoes
    * Beach Volley Ball Court
    * Playgrounds
    * Fishing
    * Jogging trail around Barefoot Bay
    * Arcade
    * Campfire on the beach at night - you can make your own s'mores
    * Pirate Adventure Cruise for kids 4 - 12.

    Your son may also enjoy the Pirate Themed rooms they have to offer.

    My second choice would be Port Orleans Riverside (POR).  They do offer many of the same recreational activities as CBR. They have a nice pool but my boys enjoyed the one at CBR more. An advantage to staying at POR is that they offer water taxi service to Downtown Disney which makes it very convenient.

    The CBR is bigger than POR so depending on which village you're staying in, you may have a bit of walk to the main pool. There is an internal bus system that you can take to get to the main pool if your village is too much of a walk for your family.

    Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions.  Its our pleasure to assist you!

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
