Need help booking a trip for a family of 5!

    Hello!

    Welcome to planDisney!

We are excited to know that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort! With your arrival date about two weeks away, I am hoping you are ready to book quickly! While I cannot make any reservations for you, I can certainly give you some advice.

First, price out a vacation package at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel with theme park tickets. If you do not already have a MyDisney account, be sure to create one so that you can link your vacation package to that account. Consider adding a Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package. And, be sure to check the Special Offers to see if there is any availability for the dates of your visit. Download the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This mobile app is especially helpful in the parks and resorts.

Although you could book a resort hotel and purchase theme park tickets separately, I suggest pricing them separately and comparing that price to the cost of a vacation package. Make a decision and then book as soon as possible. My family loves Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Both of these resorts have access to Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation. When we have a more limited vacation budget, we will stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort. This resort has access to the Disney Skyliner in addition to Walt Disney World® Bus Service.

Whether or not you use a Disney Dining Plan, I also suggest making a few advanced dining reservations, especially for character meals. There could be little to no availability at some dining locations on the day(s) of your visit, so advanced dining reservations are always helpful. My family loves breakfast at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and we love any meal at 1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's.

If you are planning to fly, be sure to make plans for your transportation from the airport to the resort hotel. Also review the information on character experiences and check the fireworks viewing times for EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. My family loves the fireworks shows and always get our viewing spot about an hour prior to the show!

    Magic and memories,
