Do you need to have/use a park ticket if you are just using the buses to go from one hotel to another via one of the parks? Staying 10 full days w/ 10 day PH pass, 2 "half" days (arrival/departure days), want to do dinner at another resort

Hi Jennifer!  You may use the park busses at all times to get from one point to another but if you need to step into the park for anything at all you will have to use a park ticket.

An example of this would be if you were staying at Fort Wilderness and wanted to go to dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse in the Yacht Club Resort.  Being close to EPCOT many would think that would be the best way to get to this location.  Unfortunately, you would be dropped off at the front of the park and you would then need to walk through the park to the International Gateway which leads to the Yacht Club Resort. That would cost you a park ticket.

The better idea is to bus to Hollywood Studios and then take the boat launch to the Yacht Club as you would never have to go into a park to do this transfer.  You can also always head to Downtown Disney to make bus transfers to all of the resorts if that works better from where you are staying.  Just be careful about taking a bus to EPCOT and being aware of park hours and when busses will cease to operate and you will be fine!
