Greetings, and a warm welcome to
planDisney, Tracy!
Thank you kindly for reaching out to planDisney with your excellent question. As the primary caregiver for my special needs son, it would be my honor to offer my advice for registering for the
Disability Access Service (DAS) as one of many thoughtful
Disneyland Resort - Services for Guests with Disabilities designed to afford all Guests an enjoyable and inclusive visit.
Tracy, there are two ways to
register for the DAS and it all depends on what is best for you. The first method is in person by visiting City Hall, on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park, the Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park, or a Guest Information location to consult with a Cast Member. The second method is virtual with the DAS Advance which can be done anywhere from 30-days up to 2-days before your arrival.
In preparation for your registration for either method, please have the following logistics in place:
1) Link your theme park admission using the ticket ID numbers and accessing My Disneyland planning via your Disney account and that of all in your travel party so that they may be included in your planning with the DAS,
2) Secure
Disneyland Resort – Theme Park Reservations for each day of valid admission for yourself and for all in your travel party,
3) Please note that the Guest requiring the accommodation is present for either method of DAS registration.
Once registered,
the use of or planning with the DAS is quite straightforward, the registered Guest or anyone in the travel party will be able to self-select a DAS arrival window via the Disneyland App, at an attraction entrance, or by visiting a Guest Relations location. Please remember that the registered DAS Guest must be present when redeeming a DAS arrival window.
Tips:Download the
Disneyland App to facilitate the use of the DAS accommodation. The DAS accommodation will appear in the app once you are registered.
Streamline your day further by utilizing the Disney Genie+ Service as well as the DAS. The
Disney Genie+ Service will save you time at attractions that offer the Lightning Lane entrance. If the Disney Genie+ Service is not currently included in your existing theme park admission, you will be able to purchase the service
as soon as you enter a theme park by accessing the Disneyland App.
Tracy, I hope this information is helpful to you, it was my pleasure assisting you and I wish you a practically perfect visit during
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort!
Best Disney Wishes!
Jacqueline
