Hey there, hi there, Mayra! Thanks so much for popping in to planDisney with your question.
Storytellers Café is a cozy, lovely place to have a meal, and it’s even more special during
Character Dining meals. Good news, you do not need to be a Guest of
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to dine at
Storytellers Café. In the
Disneyland mobile app, click the “+” at the bottom of the screen, select “Check Dining Availability” and search for a reservation. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, and they often book up well in advance for Character Dining, so you’ll want to check as soon as possible. You can also visit the host stand to inquire about the walk-up list.
Characters typically appear during breakfast and brunch, but not dinner. I suggest checking out the
Storytellers Café page on the Disneyland website prior to booking so you have the latest information on Character Dining timings.
One of my favorite memories at Storytellers Café is from years ago when my daughters were quite young. Chip and Dale came around to our table and scooped my girls up in warm cuddles. My daughters were grinning ear to ear, and I thought to myself, this is a moment I am going to remember for a long time. Sure enough, many years later, this is one of the very special Disney memories etched into my heart.
I hope you can make magical memories with your loved ones on your next visit. Happy holidays and a very happy 2023, Mayra!
See ya real soon,
Kamini
