Ahoy, Martha!
Thanks for cruising to the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you plan your voyage sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey! My pirate crew is practically bursting with excitement by the time we land at Orlando International Airport. We know we're just hours away from hugging Captain Mickey and dancing at the Sail-Away Celebration on deck!
My family tries to arrive at least one day before our Disney Cruise to ensure that we're at Port Canaveral in time for our designated Port Arrival Time. It gives me peace of mind that if there was a flight delay, we have a full day of cushion for travel in case we needed to change flights or travel plans. Also, we love staying at a Walt Disney Resort hotel and either visiting the theme parks or Disney Springs! With that being said, sometimes we're unable to fly in a day or two in advance, and arrive the morning of our cruise. If you're flying to Orlando the morning of embarkation, I always recommend taking an early flight!
I highly suggest taking
Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral! You will board the motor coach right at the airport and be on your way to the ship! If you decide to fly in before the morning of your cruise and stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation will also pick you up from your Resort hotel and bring you to Port Canaveral! Currently, the cost of ground transfers is $35.00 per person, each way. You can take Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation from Port Canaveral back to the Orlando International Airport at the end of your voyage, too. To add ground transfers onto your reservation, give the Disney Cruise Line agents a call at (800) 951-3532.
Martha, if you have any future questions, please don't hesitate to come back and visit us again!
