Hi, Michele! Welcome to planDisney!
As the mom of a child with special needs, one of the things that I love the most about
Disneyland Resort is that they always go above and beyond to
make the magic accessible to everyone. When I visit the Disneyland theme parks with my son who is on the autism spectrum, we use
Disability Access Service (DAS).
DAS is an accommodation intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment. Using their
Disneyland mobile app, Guests who have registered for DAS can request a return time for an
attraction they would like to experience. The return time will be based on that attraction's current standby wait time. Any time after that given return time, the Guest and their party may access the attraction without waiting in the standby line. Once that first ride return time is redeemed, the Guest may request a return time for another attraction.
If you wish to see if DAS would be an appropriate accommodation to meet your particular needs, there are a couple of ways that you can go about this. When you arrive at Disneyland Resort, you can stop by City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, or a Guest Information location to chat with a Cast Member to see if DAS would be a good fit for you. If it is determined that DAS is the right accommodation for you, the Cast Member can register you at that time. However, if you would prefer to take care of the registration process prior to traveling to Disneyland Resort, you also have the option to pre-register for DAS via a live video chat with a Cast Member. This video chat must take place 2-30 days before your theme park visit. If you wish to pre-register for DAS, go to this
Registering for Disability Access Service (DAS) page and follow the instructions to request your video chat.
Michele, if you have any additional questions as you get ready for your Disneyland Resort vacation, please visit us again. See ya real soon!
