Hi Teia,
Welcome to planDisney! I am super excited to help you plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
First things first, planning early is a must. We often plan a year in advance. If you do not have a year, do not panic, just get started as soon as possible. Prior to booking a vacation package, be sure to check the
theme park reservation availability calendar for the dates of your visit. Each Guest needs
Disney Park Pass system reservations to enter the theme parks.
I always suggest booking a vacation package with a resort hotel that is a part of the
Disney Resorts Collection. A vacation package will also include your
theme park tickets. You will just need to decide how many days you want theme park tickets. Although I prefer to book our vacation packages online, you can also call and
speak with a Cast Member to get assistance with making that reservation. Once you book your vacation package, create a
My Disney Experience account. Using your vacation package confirmation number, you will need to
link that reservation to your My Disney Experience account. Once linked, log back into My Disney Experience to make sure the reservation appears.
Decide what your budget is early in the planning process. Once you have theme park reservations made, start thinking about dining reservations. At 60-days prior to your trip, you can make
advanced dining reservations. A few of our favorite restaurants are Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Sanaa, and California Grill. Then, review the menus of restaurants to determine which ones might suit your taste and your budget. To view the menus, go to the homepage of each restaurant and click on View Menu. Then be sure to select the appropriate meal period.
Teia, keep your eye on the
operational updates and check out the instructions for your superhero crew as you prepare for your next
Incredible Disney Day!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
