Do you need a Florida State fishing license in order to fish off the Port Orleans' dock or for the bass master's tour?

    Hi Ross!

Fishing at Walt Disney World is one of my family's favorite recreation activities during our vacations. Last November we used one of the guides and caught a ton of bass in a two hour period. My son caught one of the granddaddy's so it was very exciting.

There are several ways to enjoy Fishing during your stay. You can fish from the docks at both Port Orleans Resort or the Fort Wilderness Resort. You can also book a private fishing guide for several hours at a time. With either of these experiences you will not need a Florida fishing license on the Disney property. If you choose to fish and can't bring your own gear you can rent casting lines at the resorts mentioned above and they will be provided on the private tours. Just remember that all fishing at Walt Disney World is a catch and release rule. Have fun and hopefully you will find the fishing great during your stay.
