I need a fast food online order lunch next week with family & was told by your staff Bengal BBQ was a good option. What items are safe for me to order online there? I am celiac (no gluten) & cow dairy allergic (no cow milk, cheese or butter).

    Hi Elizabeth!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this terrific Disneyland Resort Dining question to us hEAR! I like to say that Disneyland has so many great eats, sweets, and treats that it should really be called a Theme & Eat Park too!

First off, Elizabeth, I promise you're going to have a great time dining around Disneyland Resort. Tell everyone at each dining location about your specific food allergies and dietary requests - the host when you check-in to a dining reservation, the waiter/cashier when you order, even the "Elizabeth, your order's ready" caller-outer at all Quick-Service dining locations. And if you still don't feel taken care of, don't hesitate to ask to speak to the manager or even the Chef! They really do want you to have the best Disney day and Mickey meal possible.

Specifically about Bengal Barbecue: this is one of my favorite dining locations! Not only are the options somewhat unconventional when you think of 'theme park food', if you stand close to the wall of the pick-up area you can actually see around the kitchen half-wall and watch the chefs grilling the items, so you know they're fresh! My favorites here are the Outback Vegetable Skewer (squash, bell peppers, a baby potato, and red onions flame-grilled with a light herbal-seasoning) and the Safari Skewer (bacon-wrapped asparagus). Both are served with a lemon wedge which adds a little something extra. I'm not positive if these two skewers have olive oil or butter on them to get the seasoning to stick, but I know you can certainly ask and most definitely leave it off completely.  I'm not the most adventurist eater in all of Adventure Land so I can confirm that with the other skewers (the chicken, the beef) you can ask for the sauce on the side or even request a different sauce on the side than the one listed with each skewer. (Ex: The Chieftain Chicken Skewer comes with Polynesian Sauce but you can ask for the Zulu sauce instead.) Or, if you don't want sauce at all, these skewers also come with lemon wedges as well.

    Pro Tips:
~ You'll also find a fresh-fruit cart steps away that has apples, bananas, grapes, pickles, and even pineapple spears.
~ While there's a small alcove with tables and chairs just behind the pick-up counter, I think you should grab your goodies and dine in the outdoor seating area of The Tropical Hideaway, which has tables adjacent to the last leg of The Jungle Cruise.
~ Check out the menus in the 'Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering" section of your Disneyland Mobile App as these are often more up to date and usually include food allergy menus as well.
~ Lastly, you are more than welcome to bring in your own food and drinks to Disney's theme parks. Do note that the rules around this are no glass containers, there isn't a way to either heat up or keep your items cold, and if you bring a cooler it must be no larger than 24" long by 15"wide by 18" high.

I hope that this helped to better plan your upcoming Disney Days and get you excited for all of the upcoming delicious dining, Elizabeth! Thank you again for stopping by, and We'll See You Real Soon!
