Hi there Jennifer and a very warm welcome back to planDisney!
If there's anything I love doing at any Disney Destination, it's taking any opportunity to dress up in costumes and you definitely sound like my kind of people! This past year we attended
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and had a spellbinding time after enjoying ourselves out at
Disneyland's Oogie Boogie Bash just before.
It looks like you'll be wearing different costumes that will need to survive the journey from Land to Sea, especially if you're going to try to wear them on board for
Halloween on the High Seas - some of my favourite fellow seafarers stay in their costumes all day and really get into the festive fun! I asked some of my fellow costuming connoisseurs to help me brainstorm ideas for your group of six, and here are some options that you might want to consider with varying levels of cohesion and difficulty:
- The Madrigal Family from Encanto (You can each portray a different family member!)
- Box of Toys (Choose from a variety of Toy Story characters and take photos lying around when someone says "Andy's Coming"!)
- Disney Magic Makers (Merlin, Tinker Bell, Yen Sid, Blue Fairy, Elsa, Genie and Fairy Godmother)
- Magical Villains (Jafar, Ursula, Maleficent, Dr. Facilier, Hades, Evil Queen or The Sanderson Sisters)
- Up and Away (Dug and Russell, Carl and Ellie, Kevin and someone dressed as the house covered in balloons)
- Two Cruellas (animated and live-action versions accompanied by some spotted Dalmatians)
- Iconic Disney Duos (Anna & Elsa, Chip & Dale, Timon & Pumbaa, Mike & Sully)
I also find having an overarching theme is just as effective when you're traveling together, like choosing characters that are all the color blue!
From one costume-wearing fan to another, I also have to recommend that you take the opportunity to visit
Tokyo Disney Resort during their Halloween celebrations. Though there are currently different restrictions (some more strict, others much more relaxed than what we're used to at Walt Disney World Resort) on what adults may wear in the Theme Parks, I found that there were so many more guests of all ages taking part with truly next-level costumes throughout the entire day!
We're always glad to have you back at planDisney every time, so please feel free to
ask me anything else ahead of your next adventure (especially when costumes are involved)!
All the best on your quest to be well dressed!
Prince
