if I need extra points for a reservation, how many can I buy and how much are they a point?

Hi there Barbara, welcome to planDisney

Thank you for bringing your Disney Vacation Club question here today. It's great to assist a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member with a Points question so let's hop to it.

There are some years when Vacation Points get used for longer trips, larger accommodations or for more visits and then I realize I'm short a few Vacation Points and need to purchase one-time-use Vacation Points. If this happens to you, know that you're not alone! Disney Vacation Club Members can purchase up to 24 one-time-use Vacation Points per Use Year. At the moment, these Vacation Points cost $20/Point (price is subject to change). There are a few rules around the purchased Vacation Points:
    • The Vacation Points must be purchased at the time the reservation is made (phone Member Services for assistance)
    • One-time-use Vacation Points may only be used in the 7-month booking window. This means you can't apply them to make a reservation at a Home Resort in the priority window (7-11 months)
    • Once purchased, these Vacation Points expire at the end of the Use Year if they aren't used and cannot be banked, borrowed or transferred.

I hope this information helps with your vacation planning, Barbara. If you have any other DVC or planning questions, please let me know - I'm happy to help!

    Happy planning,
    Candace
