Hi Susan!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! As a mama of a Mouseketeer with special physical, developmental and medical needs, I completely understand how important it is to plan ahead for vacations. I can't tell you how incredible vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort has been with my son! Sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line and vacationing at Walt Disney World are our go-to vacation destinations!
Getting your
Disability Access Service (DAS) on the first day of your vacation sounds like a perfect plan. Guest Relations locations outside of the theme parks typically open approximately 30 minutes prior to when the theme park opens. You should be able to stop by and request DAS with more than enough time to enjoy the
Extra Magic Hours at the particular theme park you're visiting! I do want to mention that DAS is now linked to the MagicBands of each member of your party. Everyone will need to be present when you request DAS in order for their MagicBands to be linked, so you all can enjoy each attraction together. It does not make a difference which theme park you request your DAS - great question!
Susan, I can't wait for your family's upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation of a lifetime! If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us again!
