Do I need to have a dinning plan in order to make reservations for table service and character dinning?

    Hi Jacob!
Thanks for your question and for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Disney Dining Plan can be a real budget saver for many families visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Depending on what their vacation plans include, some families love to experience the multitude of restaurants available in the theme parks and at the resorts and don't mind longer, sit down meals. Other families prefer the faster Quick Service type of plan. And still other prefer NO Dining Plan at all.
Whatever you fancy, purchasing a Disney Dining Plan is NOT necessary in order to secure Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs). All guests may book their Dining Reservations up to 180 days in advance of their vacation.

I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical trip!!
