Howdy Molly!
Welcome to planDisney.
Dining at Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts is something that my family and I look forward to every vacation. There are so many incredible options, from counter service to casual dining, character dining, and fine dining. Oh, and don’t worry about that picky eater because almost all of them have chicken nuggets or tenders available.
Guests with a valid Disney Resort Hotel Reservation can make reservations for the entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. All other guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance. Advanced dining reservations can be made through the
Walt Disney World website or through the
My Disney Experience app starting around 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. I love to use the app because it is so simple. From the home screen, tap the plus button, then tap the first option, Check Dining Availability. Enter your party size, date, preferred time, and location, and all of the availability restraints and times will pop up. In my experience, I would suggest waking up a little early, as I have seen some restaurants become available as early as 5:45 AM. Here is a link to Dining at Walt Disney World Resorts, where you can find additional information about all of your dining opportunities.
One thing I highly recommend is researching which table-service restaurants you would like to dine at and prioritizing them in order of importance. Since you can book your days in the order you prefer, I suggest starting with the highest-priority ones first, then working your way down. I’ve found that certain dining experiences, such as Space 220, are super popular, and preferred times can go quickly. If, for some reason, you do not get a reservation you were hoping for, do not fret, cancellations happen all of the time, so keep checking regularly, and you might just find it.
Molly, I hope this helps and that you have a magical dining experience while at the Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts. If any other questions pop up, please stop back by, and my friends and I here at
planDisney will be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
