Do I need a dining plan to buy my food or can I use my debit / credit card ?

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Eboney!

I am so glad that you asked this question; it's a great one!

When Guests travel to Walt Disney World, they may choose to add a Disney Dining Plan to their Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, but it is not required.

Some Guests prefer to purchase one of the Disney Dining Plan options because this enables them to prepay their meals. When we go for this option, we find that we no longer look at the price on the menu of the items we'd love to order. Instead, if it is included in our Disney Dining Plan, we just order it. Such a delicious, worry-free way to dine around The World!

Of course, a Disney Dining Plan may be included in your Disney Resort Hotel Package, but if it isn't, and you choose not to purchase one, you'll be able to pay for all of your purchases throughout Walt Disney World using traditional methods. Credit cards, debit cards, Disney Gift Cards, and cash are all acceptable methods of payment.

In addition, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you have the ability to add charging to your room account. You'll add that credit card to your hotel account, and then may charge to that account using your MagicBand or Card throughout your stay. Easy peasy.

Have so much fun planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Eboney! As you think of more questions, be sure to send them our way. We love to help!
