Do I need 1day per park?

Boo to you, Lena, and welcome to planDisney! I see you'll be arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth on Halloween, so you're in for a real treat (no tricks!). Seeing the parks decorated for fall on your arrival will be spectacular, but you'll also witness a magical transformation in the next few days where the parks will change into a Winter Wonderland to celebrate the holiday season!

Lena, whether you spend an entire day at each park or choose to park hop and split your time among the parks is entirely up to you, and probably best based upon your must-dos, travel party, and the time you have to spend at the parks. For my family, we usually enjoy spending at least one full day at each of the theme parks, and most often spend a second full day at Magic Kingdom Park because it is our favorite! If our trip is shorter, or we take advantage of special party or After Hours event, we will sometimes opt to park hop throughout our stay to make sure we get to visit all of our favorite characters, attractions, and snack kisoks while we can! With the recent return of all-day park hopping, the added flexibility of being able to tap into more than one park without having to wait until mid-afternoon is also a great reason to consider adding the Park Hopper Option to your theme park tickets!

Lena, your dates will likely overlap with either Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (and possibly both!). While official dates have not been announced yet, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for dates and ticket information. If you choose to attend one of these parties, you will have the advantage of lower crowds and shorter wait times for popular attractions, plus special parades and fireworks shows, character appearances, and exclusive party snacks and merchandise! Attending one of these parties allows you entry into Magic Kingdom at 4 PM, so you could share the day with a different theme park, or use the morning as a rest day or chance to explore the Disney Springs area, or other recreational offerings around the Walt Disney World Resort. I love Winter Summerland Miniature Golf!

Lena, whatever you decide, here are some of my tips for top attractions at each theme park:
    • TRON Lightcyle/Run and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom Park
    • Avatar Flight of Passage and Dinosaur! at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
    • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Soarin' at EPCOT
    • Slinky Dog Dash and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney's Hollywood Studios
As you continue to plan your vacation, I'd suggest making a list of your top picks for each park and then you can decide if you'd like to spend an entire day at each park or opt to split your time. No matter what you choose, the magic is everywhere and you are sure to have an amazing time!

Please come back to us at planDisney any time if we can help again! We're always ready to sprinkle some pixie dust on your plans!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
