Hello, Brandy, and a warm welcome back to
planDisney!
Brandy, thank you kindly for reaching out to me for your upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort – and guess what, I am preparing for my visit as well which includes considerations for my son’s special needs accommodations with Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS), therefore, it would be my honor to assist you further today.
At this time,
Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS) can encompass up to twelve (12) Guests on the DAS Guestlist, meaning up to twelve Guests whose valid
Walt Disney World Resort theme park admissions are linked to your Disney account. When requesting DAS Return Times, presently, only six (6) Guests including the registered DAS Guest may actively request a DAS Return Time for any select and available attraction or experience, therefore I believe this is the answer you were seeking regarding your travel party limit question. With six Guests (including the registered DAS Guest) actively interested in any prospective DAS Return Time request, you would have to rotate through your travel party, one group of six (including the registered DAS Guest) at a time for one DAS Return Time at a time. Because your travel party exceeds the current twelve (12) DAS Guestlist travel party limit, I highly recommend seeking direction from any Guest Relations Lobby inside a theme park, or contacting Disability Services at (407) 560-2547, or sending an email to disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Brandy, you, or the registered DAS Guest, or anyone on the DAS Guestlist may request a DAS Return Time at an attraction or experience entrance from a Cast Member, from a Guest Relations Lobby inside a theme park, from a Guest Experience Team kiosk near attractions (look for the dark blue umbrella), or you can now utilize the self-selection option using the
My Disney Experience App which is super handy. Please remember that the registered DAS Guest must be present when redeeming a DAS Return Time at an attraction or experience entrance.
Tips:Consider utilizing the
Disney Genie+ service, a separate service from the DAS, which you can use even if you have the DAS accommodation active. These two services can really help streamline your theme park day by appearing on your My Disney Experience App on your attraction, experience, and dining flow list. One thing I like to do when utilizing the Disney Genie+ service is to open the complimentary Disney Genie service and select my preferred attractions, experiences and dining and the Disney Genie will present me with a suggested itinerary of those preferred selections, saving me from scrolling through all available attractions, experiences, and dining in the flow list.
Did you know that you can now
pre-register for the DAS in advance of your arrival anywhere from 2-days up to 30-days prior to your arrival with the DAS Advance option?
Brandy, I hope this information suffices, if you have any further questions regarding your large travel party and the DAS, please contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547, or send an email to disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Best Disney Wishes!
Jacqueline
