Hi Alice! Welcome to planDisney!
Character dining is one of the best experiences you can have while vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort. You get an up-close and personal interaction with some of your Disney favorites while enjoying a delicious meal. My daughters are the biggest fans of Chip and Dale and we had an amazing dinner recently at
Garden Grill Restaurant. Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto all stopped by our table and spent a good amount of time interacting with each of us. I was able to capture most of it on video and now have a great memory to look back upon as the girls grow up. Keep in mind that some character dining interactions may still be modified at this time. The traditional table visits may vary slightly from restaurant to restaurant.
When making reservations to your
character dining meal, you will need to include every Guest in your party regardless of their age. You will however only be charged for children 3-9 years old and adults 10 years or older. Even though your infant will not be eating, Walt Disney World restaurants still need to know the exact number of Guests for a couple of reasons. One is due to the capacity of the restaurant. Each space has a maximum number of Guests that are allowed at a time, and every Guest needs to be included in this number. Also, they want to ensure that your table is large enough for you to be comfortable. Your infant will need a place to sit, whether that is in a high chair or booster seat. During the mobile check-in process, there will be an option to select a high chair for your child to use. If you check-in in person with a Cast Member, make sure to mention that one is needed.
With the return of traditional meet and greets to the Walt Disney World Resort, you now have the chance to hug your favorite characters yet again. You can meet Cinderella, Princess Tiana, and a rotating mix of other princesses at
Princess Fairytale Hall in the Magic Kingdom! There is something special about getting one-on-one time that your child will probably remember for years to come. I still think back fondly to my girls meeting Anna and Elsa at the
Royal Sommerhus a few years back. They were so excited to talk to them and give them the biggest hugs!
Alice, you are only about a week away from arriving at the
Most Magical Place on Earth. The last few nights of sleep leading up to your stay can feel like an eternity, but once you arrive onsite, the wait will be well worth it. I hope you have an amazing time!
See ya real soon!
