Need clarification; spoke with 2 different people on the general information number who both stated the resort monorail wouldn't start running until 8am. I then spoke with concierge at the Polynesian resort who was positive it was 7am, which is it?

    Hey, Annie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I know how you feel. Seems like the Walt Disney Monorail System should run clockwork like all of Geppetto's clocks but alas it does not.

Typically, the Resort Monorail is running to deliver Guests safely to early dining experiences such as 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or Chef Mickey's, at Disney's Contemporary Resort as early as 7:00 a.m. Since the monorail is still undergoing refurbishment there is no set schedule for your June trip. Even if the monorail is not working, the Walt Disney World Bus Service will be available to help. I know this because we had the following experience this past November.

During one of our mornings as we were leaving Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the Resort Monorail Service was not running and neither were the water taxis to Magic Kingdom Park. A complimentary Walt Disney World Bus took us to Magic Kingdom Park. We were able to dine in grandeur at Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Beast's Castle and make all our FastPass+ reservations.

Disney Dad Tip: My advice is to ask the front desk the night before what the monorail hours are for the next day and plan accordingly. They will be able to help you navigate to your destination.

Annie, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
