Welcome to planDisney, Theresa! From one Annual Passholder to another, I'm bursting with excitement to see and experience all of the new offerings at the Walt Disney World Resort this summer, especially the new
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade!
Theresa, now through July 19,
Annual Passholders are required to make
theme park reservations to visit any of the theme parks, except on days classified as "Good to Go" days or when visiting any park after 2 PM (except for Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays). With the debut of Disney Starlight, Annual Passholders will be required (for a limited time starting on July 20) to always have a Theme Park Reservation when visiting Magic Kingdom Park as their first park of the day. The good news is that the park hopping privileges for Passholders are not changing - if you reserve the day at any other theme park and then hop over to Magic Kingdom using your Annual Pass, you will not need to have a reservation to enter as long as you have tapped into your reserved park first. Just keep in mind that park entry is subject to capacity limitations, so if the park reaches capacity, no additional guests will be permitted entry.
Theresa, I imagine there will be many guests visiting Magic Kingdom during your anticipated vacation time since the new nighttime parade will be in its debut week. With this in mind, if you plan to hop to Magic Kingdom for the parade, I would recommend doing so several hours before the parade rolls just to ensure you won't be turned away if the park reaches capacity.
I hope this helps, Theresa! And I hope you have a magical visit creating more memories this summer as a Passholder! Be sure to check out some of the fun
V.I.Passholder Summer Days perks and benefits in the parks while you're there - from specialty treats, a Maleficent magnet, Passholder lounge, and some special character greets, there's lots of magic to be made! If you have any other questions as you plan for your visit, come see us again at

See you real soon,
Alison
