I need clarification on Genie+ LL. Say I book Peter Pan at 7:00am with a return time of 12:30pm, then at 11:00am, I book Jungle Cruise with a return time of 2:00pm. Is my next booking available when I redeem at 12:30, or not until 2 hours past 11:00am?

Hi there, Lauren! Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question! Disney Genie+ is a magical tool for helping us make the most of our days in the theme parks, and understanding how to use it to its full and phenomenal cosmic power to grant all of your attraction wishes is super important! So let's dig into your question about the logistics of using the magic of Genie+!

The basic rule to remember for Genie+ is you will become eligible for your next booking either two hours after your previous booking, or immediately after redeeming your most recent booking. So in the scenario you provided, you made your first selection right at 7 AM for Peter Pan's Flight at 12:30 PM (great choice, by the way, as this one tends to fill up early in the day!). The park opens for 9 AM, so your next eligible booking is at 11 AM. At this time, you secure a time for Jungle Cruise at 2 PM. Meanwhile, you tap into Peter Pan at 12:30 PM. Because Peter Pan was not your most recent booking, you will not be eligible to book again until 1 PM. Once you have made that 1 PM selection, the clock will reset once again to 3 PM unless you tap into both Jungle Cruise and whichever you have selected at 1 PM before that two-hour window has expired.

If this still sounds a little confusing, hakuna matata, Lauren! On the My Disney Experience mobile app, you will see the time posted on your Tip Board to remind you of when you will be eligible to make your next selection! You can check this at any time to be sure you don't miss your next booking window, and I always recommend setting an alarm on your phone for a few minutes before that window opens so you don't forget! Sometimes we get caught up in the magic surrounding us and need a reminder!

One last tip I'll leave you with is to remember that there are a few attractions throughout the theme parks that are not included with the Genie+ service. So to experience these attractions, you will have to join a Virtual Queue or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane entry if you do not wish to use the standby lines. While this information is subject to change, here are the attractions currently not included with Disney Genie+:

    • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT (uses a Virtual Queue or Individual Lightning Lane
    • TRON Lightcycle/Run at Magic Kingdom Park (uses a Virtual Queue or Individual Lightning Lane)
    • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park (uses standby line or Individual Lightning Lane)
    • Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park (uses standby line or Individual Lightning Lane)
    • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios (uses standby line or Individual Lightning Lane)
Lauren, I hope this helps you to make the most of your magical days and unleashes all of the power of the Genie+ service! You're sure to have a wonderful time making magic! Please feel free to write me back if you have any additional questions about planning your visit; you ain't never had a friend like me, and I'd be happy to help again!

    Magic Awaits,
    Alison
