Do I need to check into my hotel for my dining plan to begin? We are arriving at 9am in Orlando and we’re planning to go straight to Magic Kingdom since we cannot check in until 3pm. I wasn’t sure we would be able to use it for lunch at the park. Thanks!:)

Hey, Daniel and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

February is right around the corner and I know Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be excited to see you for some fun, pixie dust, and adventure. To quote Li Shang from Disney’s Mulan, “Let’s get down to business…” and get you ready for lunch at Magic Kingdom Park, the "Most Magical Place on Earth."

Your Dining Plan allotments are available when you check-in to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and you have until 11:59 pm on your check-out day to use them all. So when exactly is check-in, you may ask? It is either when you arrive at the front desk of your Resort hotel or when you use Online Check-In. When you use Online Check-In before you arrive you are officially "checked in" at 7:00 am of your check-in day.  That means you have access to all your entitlements immediately where if you do not use Online Check-In you will have to stop by your Resort hotel before you head to Magic Kingdom Park. Even if your room is not ready they will be able to activate your dining plan. We always do Online Check-In.

Disney Dad Tip: Walt Disney World Resort is known for some of the most mouth-watering foods. Use your snack credits to taste your way through the theme parks.

Daniel, enjoy making many delicious and Magical Memories.
