Ahoy there Joseph, and welcome to planDisney! If you are gathering documents for
Online Check-In, that means you are almost there! Your magical vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line is quickly approaching!
For Online Check-in, you will need the address, contact information, emergency contact information, travel plans before and after the cruise, and simple photos from the shoulders up for each member of your traveling party. The headshots can be taken with a cell phone, but can only include one Guest in the photo at a time. The background must be simple, and make sure it's in focus with no glare. I took my photo in front of a blank wall, without my glasses on.
You will need scanned images or photos of your
travel documentation to upload as well. A valid US Passport is sufficient, and you will submit the photo page of the passport. If someone in your traveling party does not have a valid US passport, an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate and an image of their Government-issued photo ID will need to be uploaded. Children 15 years and under will only need the original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate since they will not have a Government-issued photo ID.
During Online Check-In, you can register children between the ages of 3 and 10 for
Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab. If you are not the parent or legal guardian of the children (ages 17 and under) traveling with you, the parent or legal guardian will need to complete and sign an
Authorization for Minor to Travel Without a Parent or Legal Guardian form to present at the Port Terminal.
You will need payment information for your Onboard Account by using a credit or debit card or selecting cash. If using cash, you will need to visit Guest Services on embarkation day to provide the cash you would like to add to your Onboard Account. You can also designate who has charging privileges to the Onboard Account during Online Check-in. If Guests in your traveling party will use their own form of payment, you will be able to add their card information as well.
Before it's all said and done, make sure to select a Port Arrival Time for when you plan to arrive at the Port Terminal. You will not be able to check in at the Port early. You will be asked to wait, so try and book a time that will work best with your travel plans.
Now that we are on the other side of that list, I suggest having everything you need saved in one folder on your computer for easy access once your Online Check-In date arrives based on your
Castaway Club membership level. When Disney Cruise Line reviews your documentation, you will receive a notification if anything else is needed or if your documentation has been approved. You will need to print out your Port Arrival Form or download and save it to your cell phone to present at the Port Terminal. You will also need to present in person the same travel documentation you provided during Online Check-in, so make sure to store them in your carry-on bags and not your checked luggage.
I wish on the evening star that everything goes smoothly during this process for you. If you have any other questions,
planDisney is here to help.
