Hi Carol! Welcome back to planDisney.
I see you are counting down the DAYS until your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I bet you are so excited to be returning to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Currently, there is no early theme park entry benefit for Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. As part of the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, the former Extra Magic Hours Benefit has been placed on pause. Earlier this year,
a brand new early theme park entry benefit was announced, but we are still waiting to hear when it will begin.
The new early theme park entry
benefit for Disney resort hotel Guests allows more flexibility and helps spread Guests out throughout the theme parks. When it begins, Guests will be able to enter
any theme park 30 minutes before the official park opening – and that benefit will be in place every day. I can’t wait! Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on when this benefit may begin.
As for entering theme park
parking lots, they typically open about an hour before the official opening time. Some parks have been letting Guests in about an hour before the published opening time, but this has varied and is subject to capacity and other safety decisions. While attractions may not be open, it’s a great chance to get through security and temperature screenings and explore the parks without feeling rushed. Remember, though, that not every park opens early, so your experience may vary. Because of physical distancing, queues, Disney transportation, and other protocols you might be used to are looking different these days, so be sure to read the
Know Before You Go information so you know what to expect.
Have so much fun, Carol! Mickey and his friends are ready to welcome you back to the Walt Disney World Resort with big, socially distanced waves and all the magical hospitality that is part of a Disney visit. Soak up all that magic!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
