Do I need to check in before arrival to my resord?

Hi there, Christine, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're counting down the last few days to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and you must be so excited! Thank you for stopping by with this great question!

Christine, you'll be happy to know that you can use Online Check-In Service before your arrival to provide the information that a helpful Cast Member would typically collect in person at the Front Desk during the check-in process. Once you complete the Online Check-In Service and your room is ready (you'll receive a notification), you can head directly to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room using the Unlock Door feature in the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This being said, it's not mandatory to check in prior to your arrival.

Even if your room isn't ready yet, your Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest benefits begin as soon as you arrive, meaning you can head to the pool, explore the Resort, use complimentary transportation, and more! Bell Services will gladly hold your luggage for you until your room is ready.

Be sure to visit the lobby of your hotel to find the display that shows all of the Resort activities going on during your visit, and snap a photo for reference. There are fun options for Guests of all ages, from games to art experiences to fitness classes, and these vary by Resort.

Christine, I hope this is helpful to you as you prepare for your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!

    See ya real soon!
