Ahoy Nancy!
Welcome to planDisney! Sorry that the recent cancellations have postponed your travel plans, but we can get you steered in the right direction to having new reservations in a jiffy. We’re enablers when it comes to encouraging others to make Disney vacation plans!
Based on your dates, I am assuming that you probably got a notification that your July cruise for this year has been cancelled. So Disney Cruise Line has probably sent you or your Travel Agent an email explaining next steps. When Disney Cruise Line has to cancel a cruise, it offers Guests who have paid their reservation in full the choice of a
future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing (
prior to September 30, 2022) or a full refund. Meanwhile, Guests who have not paid their reservations in full automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.
If you booked through a Travel Agent, you will need to coordinate everything with that agent. If you made your own reservation, then you can access the future cruise credit online by
logging into your Disney Cruise Line account or by contacting a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist at 800-939-2784 to apply the credit to your future sailing. They are available to assist you Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. EST and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. EST.
If you choose a future cruise credit, you can use it to secure a
new itinerary. If there is any balance after you make your selection(s), it will be placed in your onboard account as a non-refundable onboard credit. Keep in mind, it typically takes 10-14 days for the future cruise credit to show on your reservation. You can track any
travel advisory announcements on the Disney Cruise Line website to see what cruises were affected and to strategize when to make another booking.
You are asking this question at exactly the right time because
Fall 2022 itineraries were recently released and will become available to reserve starting June 21st and beyond, depending on your
Castaway Club level. Whatever you decide, I hope a Disney cruise is on your horizon.
SEA ya real soon!
