Do I need to change the name on Disneyland ticket if the person can’t make it and now I’m bringing someone else?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Louise!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! I can only imagine your excitement as your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just around the riverbend. Plans can change quickly, and it’s great that you already have a new path forward in mind. I’ll be happy to help clarify this for you.

I have great news! Theme park tickets are not officially assigned to an individual until they enter the park. Therefore, you can bring someone else in their place. If you would prefer their name be assigned to the ticket, you can always reach out to the Tickets support line to speak with a Cast Member. They would be happy to assist you!

Bonus Tip: It may be helpful for your new guest to have their ticket linked to their MyDisney account before you all arrive! Here’s how they can do it using the Disneyland mobile app
    1. Tap the (≡) icon.
    2. Tap “My Tickets & Passes.”
    3. Tap the (+) button in the top right corner.
    4. Tap “Link Tickets & Passes.”
    5. Tap “Type ID.”
    6. Enter the eTicket number.
    7. Tap “Link Media.”
From here, their ticket will be added to their account, and they’ll be able to enter the park using their own device!

Louise, I hope this information is helpful and that you all have the most magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth. You are always welcome to visit us again here at planDisney if you have any additional questions!

Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
