Hello, Eric, and welcome to planDisney! I'm happy you thought to ask us your question and I'd love to assist you today.
The
rotational dining that Disney Cruise Line offers is such a unique and fun aspect of your cruise vacation. You'll be visiting three different restaurants for your evening meal during your sailing and each of these restaurants offers a distinct theme and delicious menu. Your dining team rotates right along with you to provide you excellent service throughout your voyage. With small children, I can understand the desire to request the main seating time. I've been in your boat before!
You can request the main seating time by sailing over to Disney Cruise Line's website. Log in to your account and select "
My Reservations" under the "Already Booked" tab in the upper-right corner of the page. Scroll down to the "Dining" section and choose the seating you would prefer. If the main seating time is currently at capacity, you have the option to join the waitlist. That will indicate to Disney Cruise Line that you'd like to make the switch, and they will do what they can to make it happen.
If embarkation day comes and your dining time hasn't been switched, I recommend that you stop by the Guest Services desk to see if there is any new availability for your preferred time. My fingers are crossed that it all works out perfectly.
If you'd like to enjoy more meals in the main dining rooms, be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while onboard to see which restaurants are open for breakfast and lunch. You can also dive into the delicious spread available at Cabanas or enjoy the poolside eateries for a quick and casual option. The chicken tenders onboard are the best around!
Have a cruise full of delicious meals and visit us again if you have more questions. My pals and I are happy to help!
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
