Hi Janet, welcome to planDisney!
I'm happy to walk you through the process of updating your
theme park reservations. To change your reservation dates, you will first need to cancel your current reservations. To cancel your current reservation, you'll need to log in to your Disneyland Resort account, select the "My Disneyland" link, and then click the "Ticket and Reservation Details" link. Select the reservation you wish to cancel and click "Cancel Reservation". Once canceled, you're free to go ahead and book your new reservation!
But a couple of warnings before you proceed. First please take a look at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to see if reservations are available for your desired date and theme park. And please know that even if a reservation becomes available, there is a chance that the reservation will get booked by the time you cancel your current reservation and try to book a new one. Guests have informed us of this happening before. AND, once you cancel your current reservation, it is canceled, and another Guest will be free to pick up your reservation. With all that said, I took a peek at the reservation availability calendar, and the month of May still has plenty of reservations available, so you should be good to go!
AND, some more good news before I let you go! Lots of exciting experiences are returning to the
Disneyland Resort! The traditional character meet and greets are returning as soon as April 18, 2022, meaning Mickey and all his Pals will be ready to give out hugs and autographs! And the
Main Street Electrical Parade and
Disneyland Forever fireworks at Disneyland Park and
World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park are all returning on April 22, 2022! So you'll be able to enjoy all of these amazing experiences when you visit in May, cheers!
See ya real soon!
