Julia from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

i need to change date of reservation from 5/14 to 5/13. I only see under reservation an option to cancel.

Hi there, Julia! Welcome to planDisney! I see that you are hoping to visit the Happiest Place on Earth TOMORROW! I'll gather up all of my pixie dust and send this note over to you as fast as Tinker Bell can fly in the hopes that we can get you off to the Disneyland Resort

As you have discovered, the theme park reservation system does allow the flexibility to change dates, subject to availability, of course. Even Mickey and Minnie know that things can come up and magical days at the Disneyland Resort need to be rescheduled. To do this, you will actually need to cancel your current reservation and then book a fresh, new reservation for your new date. Currently, there is no way to "modify" a theme park reservation as you would a dining reservation. Before you make any changes, I would check the theme park reservation calendar to be sure that there is availability for tomorrow. I know May has been a busy month with the return of the nighttime spectaculars! I just took a little peek and while tomorrow is currently full for both Park Hopper ticket holders and One Park Per Day ticket holders, don't lose your faith, trust, and pixie dust quite yet!

Just as you are hoping to change your reservation, other Guests are likely doing the same. The calendar is a live reflection of available reservations, so if you keep refreshing, you may see something pop up! As soon as you see availability, here's what you're going to do:

    1. Open up your Disneyland Mobile App, tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "View My Park Reservations". If you are on a desktop, you can navigate to the "Parks & Tickets" tab along the top navigation bar and select "Ticket & Reservation Details." Both methods will lead you to the same place!
    2. On the next page, scroll to May 14th (or the date that you would like to change) and select "Cancel Reservation".
    3. Follow the prompts from there through to the "Confirm" button. Once officially canceled, you will be brought back to the beginning where you can book a new theme park reservation.
While I will think happy thoughts that this does not happen, there is a chance that in between canceling and rebooking that reservation gets scooped up by a fellow Guest. I know, that feels very un-magical but it is something that may come up. I would encourage you to keep checking the calendar as guests are asked to cancel reservations by 11:59 p.m. P.S.T. the evening before so you can see some movement even at the last minute!

Julia, I sure hope this was helpful! If you do make it to the parks tomorrow, be sure to grab a big, old hug from Goofy or any of your favorite pals. Character greetings are back and the Fab 5 are open to hugs, high-fives, handshakes, and autographs once again! I gave Mickey and big squeeze myself last week and it just made my heart SO FULL! You can even locate the characters within the Disneyland Mobile App so you don't miss any favorites! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to me directly or any of my incredible panelist friends. We are always here for you at planDisney

    Never stop dreaming,
    Tara
