Is there a need for cash in Disney World, or are the Orlando parks cashless? Thank you.

    Hey there, Jody!

A warm welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your great question about payment options while visiting Walt Disney World Resort.

Jody, you do not need to carry any cash in Walt Disney World Resort. Cash is accepted in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and Disney Resorts Collection hotels, but you do not need to use it. In fact, in an effort to protect the health and safety of Cast Members and fellow Guests, cashless payment options are greatly preferred during the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort.

Instead, you can use credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, Disney Gift Cards, or MagicBands (linked to your credit/debit card) to pay for your purchases with cashless transactions while visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth.

I hope this helps answer your question, Jody. If you have any other questions, please visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you!

    Wishing you a Magical Vacation,
