    What do we need to be carrying with two 8 year olds and a 10 year old??? ex) sunscreen, water bottles, camera, ????? for AUG 11-17

    Hi there, Marianna!

    You absolutely hit the first two right on the head. An August visit demands both sunscreen and water (think a refillable bottle that you can fill at the water fountains).

    Other necessities: small snacks (like fish crackers or fruit leather), sunglasses, hand sanitizer, and yes, the camera. If you have the room for it, ponchos are great to have folded away, and I love the portable misting fans, available at most supermarkets and, of course, at the Parks.

    One thing that I can't let you forget: a couple of gallon-sized zipper sandwich bags. These are great for storing electronics - like cell phones! - in case of a thunderstorm, or if you head for your pool and don't want to risk your electronics getting wet.

    Most everything else can be purchased at the Parks as you need it. But those are the items that have served me the best - and the ones I reach for most often.
