It’s a small world after all, Elizabeth, and I’m so glad you found your way to
planDisney!
I’m so sorry to hEAR that you have to
cancel your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort… that’s never a fun decision to have to make. I hope that you’ll be able to find another time that works for you in the future, Elizabeth! The magic will always be waiting!
To cancel your upcoming hotel reservations, you can
call the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5060 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Pacific, and a Cast Member will be on hand to help change or cancel your existing
hotel reservation or
vacation package. The cancellation policies differ depending on whether you booked a room-only hotel reservation, or a vacation package, so here's the scoop:
--If you booked a room-only hotel reservation, you can also
cancel online. For this type of reservation, you can cancel up to five days before your arrival date without any penalty. However, if you cancel after that, you’ll have to pay the first night’s room rate plus tax as your cancellation fee.
--If you booked a vacation package, you can receive a full refund up until 30 days before your arrival date, minus any cancellation fees charged by third-party suppliers or any non-refundable travel protection plan costs. If you have to cancel your vacation package from five to 29 days before your arrival date, you will be refunded all amounts except for a $200 cancellation fee, minus any cancellation fees charged by third-party suppliers or any non-refundable travel protection plan costs. Keep in mind that these policies are subject to change at any time. Lastly, if you have to cancel your vacation package four days or less before your arrival date, the full price of the package is non-refundable.
Now for canceling your
theme-park tickets. As you mentioned, unfortunately you won’t be able to receive a refund, but all hope is not lost! I recommend checking your tickets for an expiration date – you can find this on your ticket purchase confirmation email, or in the Tickets and Passes section of your
Disneyland app. Then, you can go ahead and cancel your current park reservation and use your existing tickets to book new park reservations before your tickets expire. You’ll just need to make sure the tier type of your ticket is valid for the newly-selected dates. In addition, wholly-unused theme-park tickets do retain their value past the expiration date, and can be applied to future ticket purchases. For any additional ticket questions, you can also
call a Ticketing Cast Member at (714) 781-4636.
I hope this information helps, Elizabeth, and that you’re able to find another time to make magic at the
Happiest Place on Earth soon!
Wishing you a pixie-dusted 2022!
