I need to cancel my trip my husband is sick

Hi Robert, and welcome to planDisney!

I am so sorry to hear that your husband isn’t well. I know that deciding to cancel a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is never a fun decision, but the health of you and your family must come first.

I am not sure of your arrival date, but if it is soon, I recommend calling (407) 934-7639 so that a cast member can assist you with canceling your reservation (especially if you aren’t given the option to cancel online via your My Disney Experience account).

If you reserved a Disney Vacation package, you could cancel the reservation at least 30 days before the arrival date noted. Canceling before your 30-day arrival window, you are eligible for a refund minus any cancellation fees assessed by third-party hotels or other suppliers. If you are within 2 to 29 days of your arrival and you have a vacation package reserved, the amount paid, minus a cancellation fee per package, will be refunded. If it is one day or less before your arrival, the total price of the package is non-refundable. If you have a room-only reservation, you must cancel within five days of your arrival to receive a refund of your deposit paid.

I wish your husband a speedy and healthy recovery. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Have a magical day!
