What if we need to cancel because of covid

    Hello, Rachel,

I hope it doesn’t happen to you, but, from time to time, some circumstances require us to cancel or postpone vacations or other plans. I know of some people that have had to endure such heartbreak for reasons outside of their control.

Fortunately, your Disneyland Resort plans still retain a great deal of flexibility. Guests who have purchased a Disneyland Vacation Package have until 30 days before their arrival to cancel without penalty. Vacation Package cancellations from 30 to as few as five days before arrival usually incur only a modest fee. Guests with hotel-only reservations at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels may cancel or make changes without issue up to five days before arrival. Guests with Disneyland Resort theme park tickets and a theme park reservation may cancel their reservation at any time. As long as the admission tickets remain valid, a new theme park reservation can be made. If by chance, a wholly-unused theme park ticket happens to expire, it will still retain its original value and can be used as payment toward the purchase of a new theme park ticket or a Disneyland Resort Magic Key. Usually, in those cases, the transaction must be done at a Main Entrance Ticket Booth. If there are special circumstances, the Cast Members with the Tickets information line are ready to help.

Tony’s Tip: If by chance, you are unable to pay a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth in person, you may still get a chance to enjoy some Disney magic at home. Whether that’s learning about backstage magic in an original Disney+ series, or enjoying some at-home fun with the Play Disney Parks app, there are many ways to spread some pixie dust in your day.

Thanks for your question to us here at planDisney, Rachel. If you’ve got any more questions, I hope you’ll stop by again soon.
