Do I need to call and designate who will be using my DAS in WDW? or can anyone on my friends and family list use it?

    Hi Jennifer,

Walt Disney World goes out of its way to make everyone's vacation as magical as possible. Disability Access Service is wonderful for a variety of guests who in particular have difficulties waiting in line for an extended time. Keep in mind that this guest service is undergoing some changes on May 20th, 2024 to make sure that Disney World can best serve the needs of each guest in a more tailored way.

Since your vacation is before May 20th, you will be visiting before most of these changes take place but make sure that you review the changes before you visit again. As of now, you will need to visit Guest Services or one of the Guest Experience locations to have members of your party added to your Disability Access Service (DAS). They will need to physically be with you and will have their MagicBand+ or ticket scanned by the cast member. Once each member has been added to your DAS, you will be able to make return times for rides that include you and a few members of your party. Your party will need to consist of immediate family members and will be limited in how many you can add. Guest Services will be able to help you with this as the number of people you can connect to your DAS is one of the new changes emerging. Please be patient as they help you navigate through connecting your travel companions as this is new for them as well!

My family uses DAS for our vacations and it has been super helpful. I also like to add Genie+ to help maximize our time at the theme parks since we often can not stay out for very long. This enables us to make the most of short days at the theme parks while still getting to enjoy some of the best rides and attractions at Disney World.

    Happy Planning,
