Hi Aparna!

No, you do not need the Park Hopper option if you are going to be re-entering the same park on the same day. If you were to leave Magic Kingdom during the afternoon to return in the evening on the same day, that is perfectly find to do so with a base ticket with out the Park Hopper option. If you decided to leave Magic Kingdom in the afternoon and visit a different park in the evening, that would require the Park Hopper option.
